To some degree, everyone has a passion for music. Some people are fine with just listening to their favorite tunes. However, there are those who love it so much they decide to learn how to sing or play an instrument. Although knowing how to play one’s favorite songs is already an achievement on its own, some prefer to go even further.

Over the years, the music industry has introduced to the world several artists and musicians. Although each one has achieved varying levels of success, it’s safe to say that many of them have supportive fans to keep them going with their craft – even a small fan base can be more than enough to support an artist. However, besides their followers, artists can also be motivated by another thing.

Every year, like films, the music industry also has its own set of awarding ceremonies. If an artist’s work is well-received and loved by the people, they have a high chance of being nominated for an award. Although a nomination is already a reward enough for some, it’s often an out-of-this-world experience to win it. After all, receiving a trophy is one way to materialize the investments you made to achieve it. Well, with that said, let’s talk about some of the world’s Grammy award winners.

Chick Corea

In the earlier days of modern civilization, when things like gas-powered automobiles were still new, many people loved to listen to jazz music. To this day, several music enthusiasts even study and try to understand the intricacies and nuances in making a jazz song. One such musician people look up to is Chick Corea. At such a young age, his passion for music was already established – his father introduced him to the piano when he was just four. Eventually, he brought to the world several widely-loved hits like Spain, Windows, and 500 Miles High. Throughout his still-ongoing career, Chick Corea won 23 Grammy Awards – he was nominated around 60 times.

Pierre Boulez

Besides jazz, classical songs were and still are quite influential in the world of music. Among the many musicians that left a significant mark in the industry is the musically inclined Pierre Boulez. He was a composer, writer, and conductor. Throughout his sixty-year career, he took the chance of being the conductor for groups like the New York Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, and London Symphony Orchestra. However, besides composing and conducting, Boulez also made several investments in the industry, founding more than a few musical institutions. In 2015, to go along with his 26 Grammy awards, Pierre Boulez also won a Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Vladimir Horowitz

Another musician who found his passion at a young age, Vladimir Horowitz is often considered one of the best pianists ever to exist. In his earlier years, Horowitz utilized his talents as a composer and pianist to help his family settle their personal loans. Throughout his career, he impressed and wowed audiences with his ever-consistent and unique way of playing – he kept that same quality even when he performed during his post-retirement years. Thanks to his contribution to the world of music, Vladimir Horowitz won 25 Grammys, a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, and even has five of his recordings in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

John Williams

Sometimes, after a day of working, it can be a good idea to just lie down on the couch, switch on the TV, and watch our favorite films – or discover new ones. Most of the time, we like a movie because of its actor and story. However, there’s also another aspect to it that we subconsciously love: their music. One musician we can give credit to for creating many iconic theme songs is John Williams. Over the years, Williams composed the theme songs for several movies like Jaws, Star Wars, Home Alone, and ET the Extra-Terrestrial. So far, in his ongoing career, John Williams won 24 Grammy awards and received 71 nominations.
